The Quest to be "Governor's Twenty" Shooting Competition

Soldiers and Airmen of the Delaware National Guard competed in the annual TAG Match at the River Road Training Site, Delaware on September 21st and 22nd. Guardsmen competed against each other, both individually and with teams, earning the right to wear the “Governor’s Twenty” Tab on their uniforms. Only the top 20 competitors earn the right to wear the tab.

The Army veterinarian at the Genesee Country Village and Museum on Sat., Sept. 7 would not vaccinate the sheep, nor would he provide any clinical diagnoses. Instead, he informed a group of U.S. Army Reserve Civil Affairs Soldiers how essential their assistance is to the small community of military veterinarians in foreign assistance and support to civil administration missions.

Army commemorates 79 years of Airborne history

As the national anthem played, the audience held hands over hearts and watched as a U.S. Army parachutist glided down from an unbroken blue sky, pulling a U.S. flag behind him. So opened the Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning's National Airborne Day observation Aug. 16 at Fryar Drop Zone at Fort Benning. The first paratrooper test jump took place 79 years ago, Aug. 16, 1940, at Fort Benning.
